About
Founded in 1987 by Jerry and Nancy Shadomy, Oregon Trail Brewery is one of Oregon's longest-running craft breweries that helped spark an American craft brewing renaissance. Located in the historic Old World Center in Corvallis, Oregon, the brewery operates a three-story gravity-fed brewing system and produces a range of craft beers including their flagship line of Wit (4.8% ABV), IPA (6.7% ABV), Mosaic Red (6.9% ABV), and Ginseng Porter (7.2% ABV). In 2021, the brewery transitioned to new ownership under Waylon Pickett, J.D. Pickett, and Ali Pickett, maintaining its family-oriented approach. The brewery shares space with the Old World Deli and serves as an important community gathering place. Their brewing process utilizes one of the oldest brew kettles still in use, originally purchased from Hart Brewing (now Pyramid). They also produce specialty reserve beers, including their Bourbon Barrel Porter (10.3% ABV), which is aged in Kentucky oak bourbon barrels. The brewery maintains strong ties to the local community and continues to uphold its tradition of producing high-quality craft beers while training new generations of professional brewers.
